By creating an account or using BudgetBuddy, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
BudgetBuddy is a personal finance tracking app that lets you link bank accounts, log transactions, scan receipts, and receive spending summaries. It is provided for informational and organizational purposes only.
BudgetBuddy is not a licensed financial advisor, broker, or credit counselor. Nothing in the app — including AI-generated summaries, spending insights, or recommendations — constitutes professional financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.
You authenticate via your phone number and a one-time SMS code. You are responsible for keeping your device secure. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access to your account.
BudgetBuddy connects to your bank accounts through Plaid Technologies, Inc. By linking a bank account you also agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy. We do not store your banking credentials.
Receipt scanning and spending insights are powered by AI. Results may not always be accurate. You should verify all categorizations and totals before relying on them.
Your use of BudgetBuddy is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to reverse-engineer it, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
BudgetBuddy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BudgetBuddy and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
